Sacramento Startup Tours

The Aggie Innovation and Start-up Symposium have two full days planned in Sacramento for April 18thHear from start-up founders, tour workspaces, and network with professionals in the innovation and entrepreneurship space. You are invited to sign up for one or both tours to see the landscape of the start-up ecosystem in Sacramento.  Each tour will consist of 4-5 site visits and will culminate with a speaker event/networking session (draft agenda attached). Transportation will be provided from the Conference Center on campus. Food will also be provided. Final logistics will be sent to students with a confirmed spot on the tour. 2018 UW Distinguished Young Scholars Seminar

The Distinguished Young Scholars Committee would like to invite top graduate students and postdocs to apply for their annual “Distinguished Young Scholars Seminar” series at the University of Washington in Seattle. This summer seminar provides top early career chemical engineers, and those in related fields, the opportunity to prepare their hour-long research seminar and gain critical interviewing skills. It is a service to the profession and an opportunity for graduate students and postdocs to see the best of the best in their peer group. The deadline for submissions is May 18th, 2018. This is a great professional development opportunity that provides a leg-up for the autumn job search, not to mention that summer in Seattle is an utter delight!
